The Short Version
We built Guy's Night to help you and your boys actually hang out. Not to harvest your data, sell your info, or do anything weird. Here's what we collect and why.
What We Collect
- Account info — Your name, email, phone number, and profile photo. You know, so your crew knows it's you.
- Availability — The times you drag on the calendar. That's literally the whole point of the app.
- Crew data — Which crews you're in, who's in them, and your match results.
- Device tokens — So we can send you push notifications when it's go time.
- Venue preferences — What you're into (bars, bowling, BBQ) so our AI can suggest spots you'll actually like.
What We Don't Do
- Sell your data. Ever. To anyone. Pinky promise.
- Track your location in the background like a creep.
- Share your availability with anyone outside your crews.
- Send you marketing emails at 3am (or ever, really).
Third-Party Services
We use a few services to keep things running:
- Firebase (Google) — Auth, database, hosting, and push notifications. They're solid.
- Google Maps & Places — For venue recommendations and figuring out what's near the crew.
- Gemini AI — Powers our venue suggestions. It sees crew preferences but not who you are individually.
Data Storage & Security
Your data lives in Firebase (Google Cloud). It's encrypted, secured by Firestore rules, and only accessible to you and your crew members. We don't have a filing cabinet in a basement somewhere.
Deleting Your Stuff
Want out? Delete your account from your profile page and we'll wipe your data. Your crew will miss you, but we respect the decision.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll let you know in the app. We're not going to sneak anything past you.
